teapigs was set up by Nick and Louise in 2006 with a mission to get everyone drinking real tea. Co-founder, Louise is a trained tea taster and she’ll only ever choose the best quality tea there is – REAL, big, whole tea leaves, whole herbs, whole berries, whole spices… No dusty tea. No artificial flavourings. Their teas come in biodegradable tea “temples” – a mesh bag that gives the leaves lots of room to infuse. Loose tea – without the fuss.
teapigs a certified B corp and committed to doing business for good; they give to the communities that bring us our tea and make a donation to the Point Foundation in Rwanda with every pack of everyday brew sold (it’s sourced from Rwanda!). Donations improve the lives of vulnerable people in the area. They also match donations our customers make online and have raised over £300k so far.
teapigs tea is sustainably sourced; our everyday brew is Rainforest Alliance certified, they are a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership and Sustainable Restaurant Association, their cartons are FSC certified and recyclable and printed using vegetable ink. They have plans to do more and more to have a positive impact on the environment as they grow
